Record Medal Haul Continues To Grow

After the record breaking achievements of our students and coaches in March there has been little time to celebrate for the Palatinates as season defining events and championships have continued to come thick and fast for many of our clubs. April has been action packed and has, to the absolute credit of our students and staff, been just about as successful as March!

Success at National Student Drama Festival

Durham students and theatrical alumni won no less than seven major awards at this year's National Student Drama Festival 2017.

Durham Castle - Civil Ceremonies

Durham Castle is licenced for civil ceremonies, with indoor and outdoor venues. Ceremonies are non-religious, legally binding, offered to all couples. 15% alumni discount.

Saving Leopards from Human Threat

Leopard populations in part of South Africa are decreasing in greater numbers and at a greater speed than expected, due in large part to illegal killing by humans, Durham research shows.

Adam Usden's (English, Collingwood, 2008-11) Afternoon Drama 'The Book of Yehudit' was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and is now available on iPlayer.

Sandra Hyslop (Natural Sciences, Collingwood, 2008-11) is Whitewater World Champion.

Daniel Shaw (Philosophy, Grey, 1997-2000) released the song 'Brave', and the video, made in collaboration with NGO World Wide Tribe.

Film director William Oldroyd’s (Theology, St Cuthbert’s Society, 1999-2002) new film ‘Lady Macbeth’ opens in cinemas nationwide on 28 April.
