To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first admittance of women to Hatfield, we held a competition and chose Emma Stothard, local North East Sculptor, to create our Lioness Sculpture (pictured above). The sculpture was erected in the grounds of the College next to the Burt Room, marking the inclusivity of the Hatfield community, as well as complementing the proud lion sculpture in our dining hall. The Lioness Sculpture is a testament to what can be achieved when the Hatfield community works together. All three Common Rooms have contributed to the project, along with the Hatfield Trust and the Alumni Association and we thank everyone for their support in funding this project.
