Fourth Annual Dunelm USA Holiday Appeal 2020

After such an incredible response last year, we are asking all of our alumni and supporters to donate to our Fourth Annual Dunelm USA Holiday Appeal, in a year when students need our help more than ever.

Last year during our Holiday Appeal, alumni and supporters like you helped to raise over $96,000 – Thank You. Your generosity helped Durham students this year in Performing Arts, Summer Internships and Women's Soccer. Thank you so much to all of you who gave so generously to last year's appeal. This is your opportunity to make a difference again.

This year we are asking you to support, the Izant Legacy Collegiate Scholarship.

Elizabeth Izant (Trevelyan College, 1980-81) loved her year at Durham and spoke about it all the time. She loved performing, and, while she was at Durham, she starred as Laurey in a production of Oklahoma. She was a passionate advocate for Higher Education and set up this scholarship along with another in her home state in the US. Her motivation was to open up a world of new opportunities and experiences and give students the chance to broaden their minds through travel. It was Ms Izant's wish for this scholarship to provide opportunities for more US students to study at Durham particularly those from low-income and underrepresented backgrounds.

The current scholarship fund of $30,000 will provide funding for up to six scholarships. We are seeking to raise an additional $50,000 to help us to provide up to 15 scholarships for 2021/22, competing to bring exceptional students to the University and increasing the scale of our vibrant US Durham University network.
