The Study Space Project

Our aim is to build and furnish an annex at the back of the main social building which will provide four rooms. Either directly, or by reconfiguring existing space, this will provide at least two large areas for a new library and study space. This will enable us to double the number of books we hold and create comfortable and quiet space for academic study. It will also create new office space to enhance student support and common room activity.

The Study Space Project has been supported by generous donations from the University, the Junior Common Room, Middle Common Room, Senior Common Room and the College Trust. The Project needs to raise a further £25,000 by Summer 2017 to allow the annex to open in September 2017 as the culmination of our 10th Anniversary. Its development is being overseen by the College Trust and College Council.

In addition, your name or your organisation’s name will be displayed on a gold coloured plaque on the brickwork and an invitation to the opening ceremony.


Naming rights and the opportunity to lay a special foundation stone are available. Please contact us. Any money raised in excess of that required for building and furnishing the annex may be used by the Trust in the pursuit of its other activities.
