Experience Durham - November 2020

Ready…steady…bake!

This year, Durham Student Volunteering and Outreach are working on a fundraising project called The Durham Student Cookbook.

We're asking students, alumni, staff and friends of the university to donate recipes via our Google form, which we will then compile and edit into a cookbook. 100% of the profit DUSVO earn through the sale of the cookbook will be used to fund our 40+ volunteering projects. If you would like to get involved, please submit your recipe by Thursday 12 November via this link. Thank you!

Calling all Alumni

To spread the word about environmental volunteering, DUSVO is working with Durham Environmental and Sustainability Association (DESA) to co-host an event. DESA is a networking hub for students and alumni to share advice, experience and knowledge. They organise talks on a broad range of sustainability topics, and post opportunities for students and graduates who are job hunting. Within Durham they are connecting student groups who are interested in sustainability with a monthly newsletter summarising their activity, and soon networking events for those involved.

You can find out more about DESA here:

• Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DurhamEnvironmentalandSustainabilityAssociation
• Instagram: @desa_association

If you work in an environmental and sustainability career or have related experience, and are interested in giving a talk about environmental volunteering with DESA, please get in touch!
