Music Durham

Thank you so much to everyone who came to Durham University Chamber Choir’s performance in Temple Church, London on Saturday 11th January. It was great to see around 200 people join us for the evening of incredible music and the drinks reception afterwards, and we are delighted to have raised almost £1,000 towards our CD recording. Your support is hugely appreciated by the choir and their executive committee, and we cannot wait to see what the rest of this year will bring.
Our Epiphany Term concert, Longings and Lamentations, is on Saturday 29th February at 7:30pm in The Chapter House of Durham Cathedral.

On Saturday 7 March Music Durham will be holding their inaugural Alumni Concert as part of the Lunchtime Concert series. The concert will be taking place on the same day as Durham University Orchestral Society's concert, which features some of the university's finest instrumentalists. We are looking for performers, submissions of compositions or simply people to come along and be in the audience! All enquiries can be directed towards our Concert Manager amanda.c.botelho@durham.ac.uk, or Alumni Secretary alice.f.latham@durham.ac.uk.

Other highlights this term include the International Women's Day Concert, which will take place on Wednesday 4 March and showcase music written by female composers, and the RT Projects Charity Concert in the Assembly Rooms on Sunday 1st March, organised in conjunction with Experience Durham. This concert will take the form of a variety show of performances to raise money for the inspiring RT Projects, a North East-based mental health charity with a particular focus on preventing suicide through connecting with the arts.
