Yale’s Patricia Russo, Executive Director of the Women’s Campaign School, visits Durham Law School

Durham Law School welcomed Patricia Russo this week. She is an award-winning champion of women’s rights and the Executive Director of the hugely inspiring Women’s Campaign School based at Yale Law School. Russo had 200+ students contesting the mid-term elections in the United States, including for both Congress and Governor with incredible success returning the largest number of women elected to Congress in American history. Russo was hugely entertaining in talking about her programme, as a veteran of campaigns at all levels including Presidential working with Barack Obama’s and Hillary Clinton’s leadership teams. She also spoke both with the Law School’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee as well as the University’s senior management.

Professor Thom Brooks, Dean of Durham Law School, said: “Patti Russo is one of the most inspiring – and successful – leaders with an incredible record of achievement. It has been a real joy to host her visit to Durham and we hope to see her again soon.”
