Last night, Principal Adrian Simpson, Kate M., Kellie Horrocks and Maddie Combes from St Mary's College, Durham University when to London to host the first alumni networking event to celebrate the college’s 125th anniversary. British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Regatta getting bigger and bigger! Great to see such a strong representation from Durham University Durham University Alumni winning the Women’s Victor Ludorum and finishing second overall to Oxford brooked!

This week, Prince William visited Durham University spinout Low Carbon Materials (LCM). His Royal Highness made a visit to The Earthshot Prize 2022 Finalist LCM to learn more about how they create their innovative, low-carbon construction materials. LCM spun out of Durham University in 2019, and was born out of a desire shared by scientists and co-founders Dr Natasha Boulding, Scott Bush and Dr Phil Buckley, to develop materials that could be easily and widely used to positively impact the environment by reducing carbon emissions and reimagining the way materials should be made.
