The Van Mildert College Trust invites you to attend this year's VMCT Lecture on Friday 19 March 2021 at 6pm. We are delighted to welcome Professor Dame Jane Francis, Director of the British Antarctic Survey to host this year's lecture entitled 'Antarctica: The Global Impact of a Changing Environment'. 

This year's annual lecture promises to be truly fascinating, and is free to attend for all members of the College community. 

Professor Dame Jane Francis

Professor Dame Jane Francis is the Director of British Antarctic Survey. In 2017, she was appointed Dame Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George (DCMG) in recognition of services to UK polar sicence and diplomacy. She became Chancellor of the University of Leeds in 2018.
