DunelmUSA President Bob Klein receives first ever Dunelmensis Award
On Thursday 1st July 2010 at the Honorary Graduates' Dinner in Durham, DunelmUSA President Bob Klein was awarded the first Dunelmensis Award. The award is to be made annually to an alumnus/a in recognition of their exemplary and sustained service to the University.
Fifteen years ago, Bob Klein established and has since administered a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt foundation in the United States to allow US alumni to make tax-free charitable contributions to Durham University. Serving as President of the foundation's board, he has been Durham's key US contact, organised alumni relations events and has helped funnel substantial contributions to Durham University - and he has done all of this in a voluntary capacity.
