Support Hild Bede Rise Again
The supportive community that has long been on offer at Hild Bede has never been more necessary as students and alumni recover from the impact of coronavirus. Given the uncertainty of the job market at this time, we know that it is vital that we strengthen our networks with the alumni community, harnessing your experience to prepare our students for their future careers and lives and offering you and other members of our alumni community continued and enhanced engagement with our College family. For this reason, we are seeking to raise £50,000 by April 2021.
Your support will enable us to meet four main pressing challenges by enabling us to:
• Build-up our network and communications with the alumni community in preparation for a major campaign on the estate restoration and renewal at Hild Bede. To make sure everyone hears about our upcoming estate plan and can engage with us in it;
• Continue the ‘In Conversation with…’ series of career development encounters between alumni and students;
• Launch the ‘Minds Matter’ webinar series in which we enable students to hear from and talk with alumni and friends around the world who work in professions on the frontline during the pandemic about lessons learned about coping, caring and for the future;
• Run a programme of events for alumni in which we bring people together, to celebrate old friendships, form new links with our current students, and engage directly with our future plans.
Pulling our community together makes a real difference to our students. Your support can do that for others, like Erin Collins, who recently interviewed one of our St Hild’s alumna, global communications expert Susan Heaton-Wright, as part of out ‘In Conversation with…’ series.

The opportunity reminded me that life exists after Hild Bede! Feeling like you belong to something bigger is at once a feeling of security and adventure. Susan and I were so similar that distinguishing between student past and present was pointless, we were new iterations of the Hild Bede values & experience."
