Bryan Morton Supports New Start Grid Accelerator for Student Entrepreneurs

3 November 2014

Successful entrepreneur Bryan Morton, Chairman of Aircraft Medical, ReNeuron, Glide and Oxford BioTherapeutics and former Founder and CEO of two very successful Pharma companies, Zeneus and EUSA, visited Durham University Business School in October to meet new MBA and entrepreneurship students.

Mr Morton, who has been pivotal in expansion of entrepreneurship at Durham, is a leading member of the Business School’s Development Board. He is also closely involved with the University's Business and Information Services (DBIS), directly assisting and mentoring research spin-out companies from across the University.

Working alongside Professor Ian Stone at the Business School, Bryan’s vision, energy and generous donations have catalysed the growth of The University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and support available for student entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship modules are now available to students across the University and the new MSc Management and 15-month MBA programmes include optional modules specifically aimed at entrepreneurs with an opportunity to specialise in entrepreneurship and business start-up.

A dynamic programme of extra-curricula activity now gives students access to masterclasses with leading entrepreneurs as well as funding and mentoring to develop and test their business ideas through a Dragon’s Den competition, Start Grid incubator and Pole Position awards.
