      In this issue... with most of the world currently gripped by the World Cup, we thought this an opportune moment to share some of the latest football-themed research from Business School. Dr Mat Hughes examines the difference between the long and short-term impacts of managerial change, and Dr John Moffat explores the exodus of players to foreign leagues in the 'Muscle Drain vs. Brain Gain' paper.

      In this issue... we focus on our upcoming series of 2014 webinars featuring a range of topics from 'Rising to the Top of a Business' to 'Managing and Motivating Teams'. These webinars are ideal for all our alumni whether you are just taking your first steps on the career ladder or are looking to climb up the career ladder. We also explore the concept of the '60 Second Career Sales Pitch' and how you can use it in your next interview when asked 'Tell me about yourself'. Along with our career resources we also explore our DUBS Alumni Network Knowledge Portal which features a range of e-journals, continuous professional development tools and a mini lecture series which is updated monthly.

      In this issue... we focus on a range of topics aimed at assisting you in your career, whatever stage that may be. Highlights include articles on the career resources offered as part of your free membership to the DUBS Alumni Network such as our LinkedIn webinar led by expert Charles Hardy and tips from leadership coach, Louise Mowbray, on how to 'Build Your Personal Brand'.
