The exhibition traces the development of his spectacular and idiosyncratic vision, highlighting his lifelong interest in the natural world and his continued pursuit to capture the Australian identity.
The Art Gallery of NSW’s exhibition of John Olsen’s work, The you beaut country, is one of the most comprehensive ever displayed on a living Australian artist. It features some of his most iconic and arresting works, including large-scale paintings of Sydney Harbour and Lake Eyre and his career-defining landscape series
The you beaut country. Our private guided tour will provide history and background to the works on display, and will last approx. 45-60 minutes.
