Let us get the first drinks in while you catch-up and celebrate on all things Durham University with the charismatic Professor Thom Brooks, Dean of Durham Law School.

As inaugural Dean of Durham Law School, Thom Brookes is leading the biggest growth in the School’s 50 year history increasing academic staff from 42 to 75+ over the next few years – building new critical mass in key areas, improving our research capacities, expanding into new areas like Chinese law launching the ground-breaking Centre for Chinese Law and Policy already one of the largest in Europe starting the first ever Chinese law summer school in the UK, reducing our staff-student ratio and retaining Durham’s small group tutorials of 6-8 students and seminar teaching at the heart of our enriching student experience.

As you can see Thom is blazing an impressive trail for Law at Durham but no matter what your course of study was, we would be delighted to see you at the event.

Along with Thom, Durham Ambassador, Terry Champion (Social Sciences, Grey College) and Deputy Director, Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, Tristan Alltimes will be hosting the evening and will be on hand to provide information on our exciting future plans for new services and benefits being introduced for the benefit of our global alumni community.

This event is open to all alumni and will provide opportunities to not only connect with your fellow classmates and the wider alumni community, but also hear updates from your University and ask any questions you may have!
