What was the most valuable lesson you learnt whilst at Durham?
Human rights

What inspired you to sign up as an alumni volunteer?
I enjoyed my year of master studies in Durham and I think it was one of my best decisions that I made in my life. It transformed my altitude towards life by meeting different kinds of people there. I want people to get to know this university and city better through my humble contribution. Also I want to connect people graduating from this university to remind them of feeling proud again by studying in Durham and see what can be done to promote Durham together.

What are your fondest memories of Durham?
The calm and friendly atmosphere of Durham, especially in St Hild& St Bede. Everyone I met there is nice, helpful, positive and energetic.

What kind of people make up the Durham alumni community in your area? Are they expatriates or locals?
When I was in China, the community in my area was made up of graduates from Durham. As it is based in Shanghai, so most people are working in Shanghai.

What do you love most about your current location?
I have been living in Warsaw for two and a half years with my husband. I was here in 2014 for one year and then went back to China for my husband (it was boyfriend that time). Then one year later, we both decided to come back to Warsaw to live. We like it because people are friendly, modest and nice. The City is environmentally green and the old town is beautiful. In general, we feel very comfortable living here.
