Van Mildert Opera by the Lake 2020

All Van Mildert College alumni and their guests are welcome to join us for Opera by the Lake with Sir Thomas Allen at Van Mildert College on Saturday 22 February.

Calling all singers! If you are a Mildert alumnus/ae, there is an opportunity to sing alongside Sir Thomas Allen as part of our Opera Chorus. Please email the Deputy Principal, Dr Victoria Brown at v.h.brown@durham.ac.uk to express your interest.

Van Mildert College is delighted to invite you to join us for Opera by the Lake at the College on Saturday 22 February. The event will begin with a Drinks Reception at 6.30pm, followed by the performance in the Ann Doson Hall at 7:30pm.

Tickets for the performance are via a recommended donation of £20 per person, and will therefore be available on the door at the Van Mildert College Reception. To reserve a ticket for this event, please visit the booking form.

Once again, Sir Thomas Allen, Durham University’s Chancellor and renowned international baritone, will be joining us along with a number of Durham alumni soloists; Sarah Baillie, Eleanor Penfold, Bridget Tomlinson and, our College Arts Fellow, Matthew Morgan. The programme will include works by Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, Bizet, Rogers and Hammerstein and much more. We hope that there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
