Rachel Rivers Porter (Education, Graduate Society, 1981-82) has published her debut novel Kiss of the Tsunami

In September Jessica Lenihan (Arts Combined, Grey, 2009-12) was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Her friends have set up this fundraising page for her.

Minette Walters (French, Trevelyan, 1968-71): her next book The Last Hours is her first in historical Fiction.

Steve Jewell (Music, St Hild &  St Bede, 2007-10) will be taking part in a charity boxing match in Reading on 17 June.

Guy Middleton (Classics, 2009): his book Understanding Collapse: Ancient History and Modern Myths is about to be published.

Nick Matthews (Natural Sciences, Hild Bede, 2007-10) has received a British Friends of Harvard Business School Fulbright Award.
