Claire Best (French & Spanish, Hild Bede, 1984-88) is part of the team recognised in receipt of the Best Producer Oscar for the film The Shape of Water.

Emily Burnett (Music, Collingwood, 2011-14) is performing as half of Belle Voci in the semi finals of the ITV’s The Voice on Saturday (31 March).  

Dr Simon Miller (Anthropology, Graduate Society, 1978-83) has published a historical novel/thriller called Ebolowa with Unbound - based on a true story of courage, complicity and murder.

Deborah Oxberry (Philosophy and Psychology, St Cuthbert's, 87-90) has
published her first novel, Hurt and Revenge. Deborah is also the author of two non-fiction books. 

Alexandra Skeggs (Mathematics, Hild & Bede, 2000-03) will be competing in the Commonwealth Games in April and in the Shooting discipline 'Olympic Skeet' in Australia.
