Message from the Principal

Professor Glenn McGregor

Ustinov College is proud to be Durham University’s sole postgraduate-only College. We are very grateful for the support received from alumni as this has played a substantive role in helping us achieve recognition as a vibrant community of postgraduate scholars which makes a significant contribution to the reputational status of the College and the University.

Through alumni donations we have been able to support a number of initiatives, including our well recognised Global Citizenship Programme, Ustinov Scholarships, the Ustinov Annual Conference, the newly formed annual art exhibition, funds to assist students in need, and a range of community outreach activities.

In addition to donations in the form of funds, alumni have made considerable in-kind contributions of their time and expertise through business mentoring and presentation of both academically and vocationally oriented seminars. To complement alumni giving, as a College we hope that through making all College activities and outputs available to alumni, we give something back so as to create a long-term mutually beneficial relationship with alumni as a key group in the wider Ustinov community.

Your support of the College to date is very much appreciated. We look forward to that continuing and welcoming new alumni to get involved in helping us deliver on the College’s vision and mission and the furtherance of an excellent postgraduate experience at Ustinov.
