Volunteer with Ustinov

Your connection with Ustinov College does not end when you graduate.  In fact, graduation marks the beginning of your lifelong membership of our vibrant alumni community, with many opportunities for remaining engaged with College.

There are a number of ways that you can volunteer at Ustinov College:

Become a SUCCESS Mentor

In 2018, Ustinov College launched the SUCCESS Careers Mentoring Platform, which aims to connect current students with alumni to share voices of experience from the world of work.  The SUCCESS platform allows students to gain an insight into career journeys, recruitment processes, CV development and business start up.  For more information about how to get involved, please visit SUCCESS Mentoring.

Deliver a Careers Event

In addition to careers mentoring, we would welcome offers to deliver careers events at Ustinov College.  In particular, we would like to expand our programme of conversation events, where students have an opportunity to hear the experiences of our alumni.  If you would like to visit Ustinov College to present a careers talk or deliver an event, please email ustinov.alumni@durham.ac.uk.

Become a College Mentor

At Ustinov College, we are fortunate to have an active group of College Mentors, who provide support to current students as they settle into postgraduate study and College life.  If you would like to become a College Mentor, please contact the Student Support officer at ustinov.studentsupport@durham.ac.uk.
