Online Course Brings Scottish Soldiers Project to the World
 
Durham University has launched an online archaeology course to give people around the world the chance to study one of its most captivating research projects, relating to the fate of the prisoners from the Battle of Dunbar in 1650.
The course will be open until 21 July 2019.

Flakefleet Primary School headteacher Dave McPartlin (Education, St Chad's College, 1997-2000) won a Golden Buzzer with his school on Britain's Got Talent.

Peter Preston (Physics, St Cuthbert's Society, 1964-68), who took an MA at UEA in creative writing then worked as managing editor of the literary publishers, Weidenfeld and Nicolson has three published novels and is now working on a fourth.
