Lioness Sculpture

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first admittance of women to Hatfield, we have held a competition for the commission of a lioness sculpture by a female sculptor from the North East. The chosen sculpture will be erected in the grounds of the College, marking the inclusivity of the Hatfield community, as well as complementing the proud lion sculpture in our dining hall.

The Lioness Sculpture will be a testament to what can be achieved when the Hatfield community works together. All three Common Rooms have pledged to contribute to the project, along with the Hatfield Trust and the Alumni Association. We are well on the way to funding this project and invite contributions from individual alumni to bring it to fruition.

Further information on the design and unveiling of the sculpture will be updated here.
