2018 Alumni AGM Weekend

The Alumni Association's 2018 AGM weekend will be held over the weekend of Friday 9th to Sunday 11th November 2018.  This coincides with the JCR's annual Recent Graduates weekend and its very first Careers Fair, which is a collaboration between the JCR and the Alumni Association.

The AGM
The AGM itself will take place at 2pm on Saturday 10th November in the Shincliffe Room up at College.

All members of the Alumni Association are encouraged to come along in order to have their say in the running of the Association over the next 12 months.
The agenda for the meeting can be found here.  Meanwhile the minutes of the 2017 AGM can be found by clicking on the box to the right of this page.

If you have any questions about the AGM please feel free to email Emma at secretary1@aidans-alumni.org.uk.

Refreshments (tea/coffee/cake) will be available at the AGM.

Recent Graduates Weekend
Every November the current JCR organises the Recent Graduates Weekend.  As the name implies, it is aimed at those that have left Durham during the past few years, however it is open to all Aidan's alumni.  The JCR President will send out news of the event soon.

Aidan's Alumni Association Careers Fair
This year St Aidan’s Alumni Association will be putting on a new event over the Recent Graduates Weekend. On Saturday 10 November, we will be hosting a Careers Fair in College between 11.30am and 1.30pm.

The idea is to bring graduates together with current students to share experiences of life after University and offer advice for the future. The event is intended to be informal and can cover, for example, experiences applying for jobs after University, graduate recruitment processes, further studies, living in London/elsewhere/abroad or travel experiences.

It's not quite 'Meet the Parents', but it could be called 'Meet the Grandparents'! We're looking for volunteers, so if you are a recent graduate (or not so recent graduate!) please message us if you would like to get involved. In particular, we are looking for alumni local to Durham (Durham/Newcastle/N.Yorks etc) for whom logistics mean they can just come along for the morning without needing to give up their whole weekend.

College are offering brunch (without charge) to those of you that are able to give up your time to help us make the event a success.
